Our head office is situated in Durban, South Africa, with offices located in Centurion, Cape Town, East London, Nelspruit, Kimberly, Richards Bay and Polokwane. Somaru and Associates Incorporated is an empowered Company with a level 1 B-BBEE rating. We are a member of Proudly South African and are committed to uplifting ethos that promotes social and economic change and progress. We provide independent, professional property and construction cost advice to built environment Clients, through the professional business of quantity surveying. Somaru and Associates Incorporated, combines its traditional quantity surveying skills with extensive property knowledge to provide its Client base with value-added cost management and property advisory service. We are able to hold our own under stringent requirements and conditions. We also have professional working relationships with several reputable and well-established multi-disciplinary Consultants to undertake projects outside South Africa.

We are also fully committed to the codes of conduct laid down by our affiliated professional bodies. Our philosophy is to understand and meet the needs of our Clients. We work as a team, with every project controlled by a hands-on Director.
Maintaining the continuity of the Director and Staff throughout each Project is priority, as is keeping the Client informed of the current cost status of the project by timeous submissions of reports. To this end, we place a strong emphasis on the use of information technology and up-to-date computer hardware, built environment software and industry compatible systems.

Economic Empowerment
Our Director and employees come from disadvantaged backgrounds. Having recognized the shortcomings and difficulties encountered by Black professionals and the lack of formal and in-service training, our employees are offered a multitude of training opportunities both in the workplace and through external training courses to attain and improve their practical experience.
We are of the belief that practical experience is the most important tool in the construction world.
Progressive employees are further skilled into management positions. The company has thus far been responsible for the costs of University, Technikon and Distant Learning academic studies and Learnerships for several interns through their academic career.
We are committed to the Governments Reconstruction and Development Program and our aim is to achieve a multi-racial representation of employment at all levels within practice. We are currently a Level 1 B-BBEE Contributor.
